As you know, I have been in the real estate industry for over 23 years as a licensed real estate agent. Throughout the years I thought that I had seen it all. I have sold homes, assisted families with their mortgages and for the past almost 2 years I was also assisting families in modifying their home mortgages.

I founded a company called Home Resolution & Credit Services, Inc. that is licensed and one of the original loan modification companies in California. We have had a tremendous amount of success in modifying people's loans and have all the stats to prove it. We have actually modified loans down to 0%, dropped payments lower than their monthly tax payments and reduced millions of dollars in principle. We have been featured in local and national media as one of the original and legitimate companies. I have information on almost each lender such as what the average rate, payment, amount of time it takes to get an approval, monthly and yearly savings and more importantly if those lenders are really interested in modifying your loan.

As there are successes, there are also failures. Many lenders today really are not interested in modifying your loan or are so unorganized that the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. Someday maybe I will write a book on the crisis and what lenders are doing to contribute to it. But that is a story for another day.
